The Motley Fool Investment Guide

The first Motley Fool book published by Simon & Schuster in 1996. It championed do-it-yourself investing, made a case for investing in small-cap companies because they were underfollowed by Wall Street, went into some detail as to what kinds of good and bad things to look for on financial statements, and sold a lot of books, appearing on numerous business bestseller lists and going into multiple printings. The book helped put the Gardners and their company on the map, and made a strong case for the benefits of joining online investment communities.
