RHODIA (EXCHANGE: RHAYY.PK)
Rhodia was founded as an industrial chemical company when French chemical company Rhone-Poulenc decided to merge its healthcare assets with those of German Chemical Company Hoechst to form Aventis, now Sanofi-Aventis.
In 2011, Belgian chemical company Solvay announced the acquisition of Rhodia. In 2012 Rhodia retains its identity, but is listed as a Solvay Group Company.
In April, 2012, Rhodia announced an agreement with Tantalus Rare Earths AG to purchase the rare earths concentrate from their Madagascar mine.
