Section 184

Section 184 is a home loan guarantee program for Native Americans.

All Native American land in the United States is held in trust by the United States government. Because of this, banks can't put a lien on the land, making it hard for Native Americans to secure a loan. HUD guarantees the loan amount for a Section 184 home loan, thereby making it easier for Native Americans to buy and own a home, which allows many more Native American to invest in their and their family's future.
