Ralcorp (NYSE: RAH) is primarily engaged in the manufacturing, distribution and marketing of store brand food products in the grocery, mass merchandise, drug and foodservice channels.

Company Description

Ralcorp was formed in 1994, when the human food business was spun off from Ralston-Purina. The Purina pet food business was sold to Nestle in 2001. Eveready Battery Co. was spun off as Energizer Holdings in 2000. The Purina livestock food business was sold to Land of Lakes.

Continental Baking, maker of Wonder Bread, was sold to Interstate Bakeries in 1994; the Chex cereals business was sold to General Mills. In 2007 Ralcorp acquired Post Cereals from Kraft Foods, which was spun off as Post Holdings in 2012.
