Company Description

NYSE Euronext, was created by the combination of NYSE Group, Inc. and Euronext in April 4, 2007. It operates the world 's largest and most liquid exchange group and offers the most diverse array of financial products and services. This transaction brought together two of the major American and European financial marketplaces under the umbrella of one organization.

In the third quarter of 2008, the company will be further expanding its offerings with the acquisition of the American Stock Exchange. The acquisition of AMEX expand the breadth of exchange-traded fund (ETFs) and options available through NYSE Euronext.
