Mosaic (NYSE: MOS) is involved in producing and selling animal and crop nutrient products. It is headquartered in Plymouth, Minn. and was founded in 2004 from the merger of IMC Global with Cargill fertilizer assets.

According to their website, Mosaic is the world's leading producer of potash and phosphate crop nutrients. Mosaic is also the exclusive marketing agent of 1.2 mmt (million metric tons) of nitrogen products through a 50 percent equity stake in Saskferco Products, one of the world's most efficient nitrogen production facilities.

In addition, the company provides tools that increase profitability by assisting in fertilizer application and market forecasting, field mapping, soil testing, agronomic consulting and fertilizer blending.
