Molson Coors Brewing
Molson Coors Brewing (NYSE: TAP) is the product of the merger between Molson of Canada and Coors of the United States. The two became one on Feb. 9, 2005. It is headquartered in Denver, Colo. and was formed in 1873 (keeping the history of the Adolph Coors Co.). In 2007, SAB/Miller announced a joint venture under which SAB/Miller will market all Molson Coors products in the US.
The beer industry is globalizing. That is emphasized by the example in Canada. Molson's once the largest, now partners with SAB/Miller in competition with LaBatt's now owned by InBev, who is in the process of acquiring Anheuser-Busch, largest US brewer.
