LOCTITE is a brand of anaerobic adhesives invented by scientists at General Electric. The adhesives are most often used to secure fasteners like nuts and bolts to keep them from working free. The adhesive is kept fluid by oxygen that seeps through its plastic container, but hardens when air is excluded.

The business is now a division of Henkel Corporation of Germany.
