Johnson and Johnson (NYSE: JNJ) is engaged in the research and development, manufacture and sale of a range of products in the health care field in many countries of the world. It was founded in 1885 and is headquartered in New Brunswick, NJ.

Company Description

Johnson & Johnson (J&J) is probably the biggest healthcare company in the world. It operates in three broad segments -- Consumer, Pharmaceutical, and Medical Devices and Diagnostics -- having its fingers in most health field pies.

It is one of the most consistent of companies, growing revenue for 75 consecutive years, adjusted earnings for 24 consecutive years, and the dividend for 46 consecutive years. It is one of a handful of companies rated AAA. It has more than 250 operating companies in more than 57 countries, with nearly half of all sales coming from outside the United States.
