An investor is someone who makes his money available for another's use in the hope of getting back more than he put in. There are three kinds of investors: stock investors, bond investors, and suckers. [Perhaps this is true in the context of Motley Fool, but most would add real estate, commodities, land, minerals, and collectables of all types (art, stamps, jewelry, classic cars, motorcycles, coins, antiques, etc, etc, etc.)]

An investor is a strange individual who enjoys researching companies, commodities, or currencies, and is regarded with awe and concern by his friends and relations :)
