Energizer (NYSE: ENR) is a manufacturer of primary batteries, flashlights and men's and women's wet-shave products.

Company Description

Energizer is the successor to Union Carbide's Eveready battery line. The business was acquired by Ralston-Purina and later spun off as a separate company.

In 2015, Energizer announced plans to spin off its battery business keeping the name Energizer and renaming the surviving company Edgewell Personal Care. The old parent company will trade under the ticker EPC. Edgewell brands include Schick, Playtex, Stayfree, Diaper Genie, Banana Boat and Hawaiian Tropic.
