CME Group

CME Group operates derivatives trading platforms Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), and New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX). CME Group trades on the Nasdaq exchange under the ticker CME.

According to its website, CME Group "offer futures and options based on interest rates, equity indexes, foreign exchange, energy, agricultural commodities, metals, and alternative investment products such as weather and real estate."

  • Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) -- CME products span these categories: commodities, energy, foreign exchanges, economic events, equity indexes, real estate, weather, and interest rates.
  • Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) -- CBOT traders trade in commodities, energy, equities indexes, and interest rates.
  • New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) -- NYMEX offers mostly energy products and a few commodities-based products.
  • COMEX -- COMEX offers futures and options in gold, silver, and copper.
