Expanded Definition

The Beige Book is available to the public. Here's a link to the March 2010 report on the Fed website. Here's how it describes the report: "Each [of 12] Federal Reserve Bank[s] gathers anecdotal information on current economic conditions ... through reports from Bank and Branch directors and interviews with key business contacts, economists, market experts, and other sources." Information is subdivided by district.
