Company Description
Beckman is the inventor of and original supplier of pH meters, the first electronic instrument sold to the chemical laboratory. They continue to be the leading manufacturer of pH meters. They were also early suppliers of spectrophotomers which revolutionized chemical analysis.
Coulter is best known for its automated blood count equipment used in hospital and medical laboratories everywhere.
Beckman Coulter was acquired by Danaher in 2011.
